Advantages of Joining MEBAA
The Association is incorporated in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) as a non-governmental and not-for-profit association created under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
The Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) was established to become the principal forum for gathering, understanding and communicating the needs and benefits of private aviation within the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA).
MEBAA is a member of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), Montreal, Canada with effect from 25th May, 2007, which includes 14 other associations such as NBAA and EBAA.
MEBAA serves its members in ways that enhance safety, security and acceptance of business aviation. Founding member representatives have combined their vast private aviation experience to identify key industry demands, including the following key criteria:
  1. To have a strong and respected voice within the Middle East and North Africa region that can advocate the benefits of private aviation to government, media and regulatory bodies.
  2. To develop a forum that gathers international best practices and disseminates these to operators and suppliers.
  3. To advance the cutting-edge of private aviation by developing and promoting operating procedures and voluntary codes of conduct that meet MEBAA’s core mission, vision and values.
In a growing community such as business aviation in the Middle East and North Africa region, it is essential that we all join together; share our needs, concerns and ideas; and then present our common positions to regulators, opinion makers in the government, media and the marketplace in general.  Co-operation in the industry is a basic requirement so that the community speaks with one voice, which is possible with MEBAA serving as the coordinating body that brings business aviation providers together.
Working together, we will all benefit as the acceptance of business aviation grows. It will be stronger with MEBAA as the forum and voice of the business aviation community.  Co-operation is essential for market expansion, and market expansion benefits all in business aviation.  The challenge is not taking market share from competitors; it is growing the market so that there is a bigger cake to share.
MEBAA also acts as a purchasing power on behalf of its members hence buying Fuel and Aircraft insurance policy with discounted rates; it also provides a database for its members with regard to market size, new opportunities and expected growth in the region.
