Session One: Regulatory Panel of Business Aviation Regulations

Regulations originally designed for commercial operators are imposed upon business aviation, how detrimental is that to the growth and safety of the industry in our region, particularly in Saudi Arabia? How are operators circumnavigating the challenges that arise from not having a designated regulatory authority and what can we do about it? This session will discuss the advantages of assigning a set of regulations exclusive to business aviation and propose a plan of action.

Session Two: FBO Panel Discussion:

An industry code of practice (IS-BAH) is being introduced by IBAC that will provide FBOs in Saudi Arabia with a common set of safety, operating and ground handling standards. This session will detail IS-BAH and its impact on FBOs in Saudi Arabia.

Session Three: Discussion Panel: Dealing with Illegal Flights and the Grey Market

Joining the IBAC initiative to define illegal charter:

Led by its Planning and Operations Committee, IBAC is developing a global definition for illegal charter that will provide a framework for local authorities to take action. The session will be recorded and reported back to IBAC, outlining the common causes for illegal charter in Saudi Arabia and how it differs with other markets facing the same problems.

Session Four: Integrating Risk Management: Safety standards, Insurance and Emergency Response Planning are three cornerstones for an effective risk management strategy. But they cannot work in silos. Through case studies utilizing the tools developed by MEBAA, this workshop will be an insight into best practice for corporate governance in the business aviation industry.

Chairman’s Closing Remarks:

Summary findings of this edition of MEBAC and Q & A discussions along with an update on initiative taken on by MEBAA to address each issue.
